Re: Latest from the Birdcam...

It rained for a good part of today and then turned windy and later cold, so not too much bird action....did try to catch footage of the Cape Bunting that feed under the one feeder, searched stax of footage for them but they did a no show today, so all there is t see is the real garden variety of birds pecking away at seeds on the pavers wink

Re: Latest from the Birdcam...

The rainy, windy weather definitely makes the more "interesting"  garden birds scarce!
House Sparrows and Laughing Doves have no issue with the weather LOL!

The Cape Sparrow in the foreground seems to be keeping a check out...considering the Yellow-billed Kite was cruising VERY low over the garden this morning, it's not surprising!

A Speckled Pigeon squeezes into the feeding group... look at how pretty the shape and spots are at the wing edges when folded, never noticed it before!

Re: Latest from the Birdcam...

Laine, even my cleaning lady has commented on how busy the feeders are wink

The Birdcam went out a bit late today as we were "chasing" a supposed Hudsonian Godwit, but here is some footage from the birdbath again today...it wasn't really warm today, but the weavers sure like to keep clean wink

...and the Laughing Doves drink in circles too! hmm

...I find seeing the birds up this close, virtually in their space, is just an amzing experience! cool

Love the video footage for the movements and the sounds, but the stills just look amazing too cool

Re: Latest from the Birdcam...

and the footage from today...

Listen to the Cape Weaver!!

Often see the Southern Double-collared Sunbird drink but actually quite seldom see them bath except in the sprinklers!
