I learned ysterday that the Harris Hawk hunts in groups and that they will sometimes be seen forming a totem pole on top of a cactus. Amazing!

Posted too soon, the totem pole is created in order for them to scan the surrounding from a better vantage point. We had the brilliant opportunity to view the Harris Hawk together with our near endemic and similar looking Jackal Buzzard.
