What did you see today? (5)

Took a drive to Velddrif with Coreen this morning on yet another uncharacterisitically rainy summers day! Cloudy conditions, the river was quiet too seeing as there were hardly any bokkoms hanging out to lure the birds..., no exciting sightings, but Bokkomlaan is always a pleasure, here just a few "pretty" pictures wink

Had some very active African Paradise-Flycatchers in the garden this morning.

Managed to get one photo. Not my best, but not too bad either. lollol

On the topic of African Paradise-Flycatchers.

I photographed this male on a nest at The Wilds in Johannesburg last month.

Re: What did you see today? (5)

Spent the morning at Rietvlei today smile BK was atlasing  and I took some photos at the homestead while waiting for our breakfast to arrive roll Obviously Violet-backed Starlings breeding season is in full swing  given that Tevor and I have similar photos. Also caught a few others enjoying the lawn caterpillars (Army Worms?)  around the pool.
