Strange Looking Birds we take for Granted

Still thinking about the strange birds of Peru and in particular the feathering on the COR and some of the others SS posted. We also have some strange looking birds but as they are in our backyards we don't really consider them strange. Look at this specimen with his bushy beak and yellow eyes, pretty exotic close up ne hmm cool

What about these with their metallic green, red under-wings and mohican?

One of the strangest looking birds I have seen in SA was the Greater Frigatebird.
