And well done Laine and Boetie on your latest addition, The African Pygmy Goose. Helluva photos you two got of it as well! Wow!

And boy did we get lucky. I spot the male and female quite far off initially. And gradually they came closer. Boetie's patience paid off as they eventually strated swimming right at us! It was unbelievable. They were like 10m away!

We watched them mate and watched the male flapping his wings and everything. It was a super sighting!

Thanks to WTM for spotting them in the first place, not easy seeing them between the lilies, one photo as proof so long!!

Pygmy Goose

Daan, on the H10 just before Nkumbe coming from Tshokwane. But we were helluva lucky with that one too. It was a Kruger lifer for me. It was crossing the road and trying to hide from us in the road, hoping we wouldn't see it.

There is also a lekka quelea colony further back to Tshokwane along the H10. Worthwhile stopping there to check out some raptors.
