Day 4-countinued

Lake Panic-

We set off for lake Panic but my mom wanted to have a look at the nursery first lol smile so we went to the nursery and to the golf course aswell. Birds seen include, Violet Backed Starling, Pin Tailed whydah, Spotted flycatcher, African Jacana, Purple crested turaco, Grey headed bush shrike (heard), yellow fronted tinkerbird (Heard)

We set off to lake panic and i didnt get any lifers but we had amazing sightings of Malachite kingfisher, Black Crake, African Jacana, Pied Kingfisher, Green backed hern, and i heard a Bennets woodpecker calling but couldnt find it...sigh....on our way out after spending some time here, a huge rapor flew across the road! Black bars underneath, Rufous underwings, HUGE apearance...and then it landed, an African Crowned Eagle sat about 5 meteres into the bush, showing off all his glory big_smile Also on our way back, Long Tailed Paradise whydah (lifer) and White winged widowbird.
