Re: Rarities Sightings Board

Thanks, I also emailed Trevor to see if the source that gave him that sighting provided pics and also if he can give me more details.

I can levitate birds, but no one seems to care.

Re: Rarities Sightings Board

Could be, that area is soaking wet at the moment... If this is the case then it might very well be located in Marievale as well..

But ja, lets see if we can get more info... this is something worth chasing IMO.

Niall reckons it was at Grootvlei, near Villiers.

Perhaps here.

Well done on Lizet and Johann for finding a Thrush Nightingale in Lower Sabie KNP.

Lizet, if you have some time would you share the sighting with us here?

Thanks DotDaan,
We found 3 birds eventually on Sunday (31/01/2010). Johann recorded the call but it didn't respond well. It however responded well on "spishing".

I got a crappy shot http://i48.tinypic.com/xng509.jpg Thrush Nightingale

but Johann managed some great ones here

We also heard a Black Coucal calling twice on the S29 on the way towards Mlondozi dam, but we couldn't see it and it didn't call again - Keep a look out whoever goes that route...
