SR that Goliath shot looks like Lake Panic ... if so it could be the same bird in my photo they have a nest there and it looks like the same spot ?

These shots are stunning, I especially like the wattle eye/dragonfly one. One has to feel sorry for the poor francolin though sad

Thanks RK, that is indeed Lake Panic. Those Goliath Herons always provide some entertainment.

Thanks BK, I could not believe my luck when that Wattle-eye landed right in front of me with its catch. Almost like it wanted to show off what it had caught.

Thank you Jay! funny how one always associates a certain species with a certain diet, and I would never have thought cattle egrets would feast on scorpions.
Its like reading about a Saddle-billed stork that was once recorded catching a Red-billed Teal and eating. What an amazing sight that would have been.
