Good luck with the twitch, Jay cool
I find these reports quite fascinating! Take the Olive Bee-Eater for example, how on earth did it reach KZN without anyone noticing it before hand?

Good luck to those chasing the Olive Bee-Eater. You have a better chance getting into a rocket to Mars than getting into Cape Vidal! lol

Why would getting into Cape Vidal be such a problem? hmm

Re: Trevor Hardaker - UPDATES

I am referring to visiting it over long weekends really.

They only allow 120 vehicles a day to enter. And believe me, you have a slim chance to get in if you are not there early enough.

Ohhhhhhhh! I think the chances of that bee-eater hanging around is probably less than me falling pregnant anyway. lollol

Re: Trevor Hardaker - UPDATES

As received from Trevor.
Sorry for the lack of a full report last night, but I had other commitments which meant that I got back home very late. I will send one out later this evening, so in the mean time, please send through all your latest reports and photos to be included in it.

But I didn’t want to hold back on the following bits of news in case there were any locals looking for something to do today.

-       News received late yesterday was of a GREATER FRIGATEBIRD reported at the small harbour in Hawston near Hermanus on Saturday (unfortunately, the news took a while to get through to me). This is an incredibly rare bird in the province and will probably have many provincial twitchers ready to run at the drop of a hat if it gets reported again.

-       A sub-adult PALM-NUT VULTURE was reported yesterday afternoon along the Vlaminkevlei A road at the back end of the Cerebos Salt Works in Veldrif, another very sought after species for provincial listers.

Good luck if you are planning on chasing any of them and keep us updated!
