What I can tell you is that after going a bit through this book I have realized that there are some absolute beautiful birds in Africa!

I must really make a plan to go, SR.

I only have one problem. I still have so many birds to see within SA's borders that I cannot justify a trip out of its borders yet. And then I would probably wanna tackle our neighboring countries first before venturing deeper into dark Africa.

But wow, it would be awesome to go bird in countries where just about every bird would be a lifer for me.

That's what I am worried about!!

Poor guy getting taken by the croc! I remember when I did 30 day overland trips from Jo'bug to Nairobi during which time we did a 3 day canoeing trip down the Lower Zambezi. Flip there are some monsters living along that river.

Sjoe! What a way to go! Poor guy. I suppose one can say - at least he died doing what he loved.

I remembered what the other omission in the book was, yesterday. The Yellowlegs. So on page 172 two Dowitchers are missing and on page 174 two Yellowlegs are missing.
