Re: Hi, que hay, hej, ola, hoi, tag, mieriewe,

This Mantid crossed our path at KTC. Had a mission to ID it - it seems to be a
Cone Head Mantis - Empusa Pennata. Camouflage was fantastic even walked like a twig(?)

Re: Hi, que hay, hej, ola, hoi, tag, mieriewe,

The grass seedheads around the tent (KTC) were ripe, and this critter looked a lot like a plume of grass. It even had the motion of grass waving in the wind, very impressive to watch how it was moving. The camouflage was perfect.

Re: Hi, que hay, hej, ola, hoi, tag, mieriewe,

KNP, of course big_smile Last year we spent 15 glorious days there, so we've decided to return, 14 days in the northern part, starting at Letaba, and then north to Mopani, Shingwedzi, Sirheni, until we reach Punda. Unfortunately Teba is no more, but we can still do a day drive to Pafuri to find our Spinetails and Lemon-breasted Canary. (yah sure)
