AnnouncementOur Mission and Values at GBT...
Here at GBT we hope to foster an interest in all things birding, and in so doing, also create a deep and abiding respect for our natural environment. We do so without taking ourselves too serioulsy, but we do take the state of our environment very seriously. We share our knowledge and our passion for all things birding willingly and enthusiastically.

Re: Weekend Target Bird (2)I am off on Thursday for 3 nights at Bonamanzi near Lake St. Lucia and then 2 nights at Giant's Castle. A member of our church heads up a birding tour company and needed help to drive a family from the US to Bonamanzi, then to the Drakensberg and then back to the airport for him. What an amazing opportunity this will be - especially the birding around Bonamanzi where I have a chance to pick up some of these potential lifers (surely breaking me through into the 600 "club"): Mark Tittley (a bird-a-holic) Johannesburg, South Africa Bird Photos: http://bitly.com/MarksBirds Trip Reports: http://bitly.com/BirdingSA #1523 06-08-2012 20:27:52

Re: Weekend Target Bird (2)Thanks Trevor. I believe the route we are taking via Middleburg and then on the N2 via Pongola to Bonamanzi should be fine. Thankfully we only head to Giant's Castle on Sunday - hopefully the snow has melted by then and all the birds are out enjoying the fair weather.
